*** Due to supply issues the Gen II N690 will no longer be available. The Gen I XHP is however in stock and ready to ship. Sorry for the inconvenience.***
Due to such a high demand for the Genesis, and wanting everyone to be able to afford a low profile, light weight, neck knife with excellent cutting performance. I am now producing the Genesis II.
The Genesis II is built with Bohler N690 stainless steel, a steel that is favored for use on top quality surgical instruments.
It is finished with with a stone wash finish and has a hardness of 61 HRC, making a tough knife that can hold an edge for a long time.
Wear your Genesis II knife in its Kydex Neck Knife Sheath with Breakaway Neck Paracord Lanyard and you will always have a sharp knife when you need it.
“I’ve been on trail for over a month now and so far I really love it. It’s comforting having easy access to self-protection while backpacking and hitchhiking. More importantly, I don’t have to search for my knife in my pack when I’m ready to cut summer sausage for lunch. My knife with the sheath and paracord is about 2.4 ounces. Also, it’s seriously sharp.”

“If you would have asked me a week ago, two days ago, before I received it, if I would have ever considered wearing or using a neck knife I would have thought you were insane, I thought that they were gimpy, I thought that they were silly, I thought it was something I had absolutely no interest in…
What I found is that I really like it. Many reasons. It is so light and so thin that I didn’t know it was there until I needed it. It really shined working on the treehouse because I can’t get access to my pockets because I got a toolbelt on, got a big winter coat, it is really cold out. . .well use the neck knife… It was always there when I couldn’t get at my other knife. It’s absolutely beautiful… I’m a fan, I really like it. The way it fits my hand. Absolutely a near perfect blade shape.”

When I first heard of, \”neck knives,\” I have to admit that I thought they were kind of a ridiculous novelty. However, after wearing the Genesis II for over two years now and using it everyday, I now know better.
This knife gets more use than my Benchmade folder. I carry both of these knives everyday and frankly, the neck knife is easier to draw and sheath. Upon receiving the Genesis II, I was totally blown away by how sharp the edge is. I could cut the hair on my arm, without the knife touching my skin. Your read that right. By moving the knife edge through the hair on my arm, without scraping it on my skin like you would to shave, it would cut hair.
After wearing this knife for two years I have made two modifications to the sheath. Not being a fan of the \”safety\” break aways on lanyards I made my own from 550 cord. You simply loop the ends through the outside top holes of the kydex sheath and tie a knot on each end; letting the knots stick out on the side of the sheath that is away from your skin.
The second modification I made was to remove the two rivets on the draw end or open end of the sheath and replace them with two stainless steel screws and nylock nuts. This allows you to be able to adjust the draw of the knife as tight or loose as you like it. Again, the screw heads face towards your skin and the nuts face away from your skin.
After two years of daily carry and abuse, I am happy to report that this sturdy little neck knife has held up to everything I have done with it.
This is my favorite knife.

I got this knife because I do a lot of solo hiking. I\’ve looked into other defense methods but felt they were too heavy and awkward to carry. I love having self defense on my person at the ready, not stowed and sitting useless in my bag. The design is sleek, beautiful, and lightweight, and perfectly meets my needs.
The first time I used it I was hiking with a co-worker in the night, trying to catch a mountaintop sunrise. A few hours into our hike we noticed a huge pair of golden eyes in the bushes in front of us, awfully close to the ground and un-moving; a wildcat. We yelled, we raised our trekking poles into the air and banged them together, but nothing worked. We reached an \”oh sh*t\” moment after we did everything you\’re supposed to do–and it still wasn\’t running away. We prepared for the worst. My partner fumbled around in the dark to find his knife, while mine was ready in seconds. I raised my Genesis II with panache and raw valor, yelling like a mad warrior. The threatening blade flashed in the light of our headlamps and the cat finally vanished.
I am fully convinced it was definitely the sight of the knife that saved us that night. 😉 Anyway, I was incredibly thankful to have this knife so close, especially walking the four miles back down to our vehicle in the dark. I\’ve also used it walking around town alone at night… With how light and easy to conceal it is, (and the incredible sharpness) this knife is a woman\’s best friend, and it is worth every single penny.

I carry this knife while backpacking and love the convenience, durability, size and weight. It\’s good for everything I need while camping, preparing meals and even self defense if necessary. I bought the first one a couple of years ago from your Amazon store, and when I\’m not hiking, it\’s in my bag or around my neck if I\’m walking in town. I love it so much I\’m buying a second one for my daughter! Thanks Patrick!

I figured this knife would be sharp, and it is. What surprised me is how light and low profile it is. I literally forget I have it on most times (I wear under a t-shirt) but when I need a knife, it is there. I was never a neck knife guy, but going out to feed piggies in pajama pants and rubber boots, I always forgot to take a knife with me or it wouldn\’t clip on those pockets well. No worries because this bad boy is always on me (and it does not print at all). Great addition to my EDC.
