Because our custom knives are hand crafted and made to order, the process of ordering is a very manual (but easy) one. First let me clear up some common questions about ordering a knife from MT Knives.
Q: How long does it take to get a custom knife?
A: Most Custom orders will take 6-12 months to ship.
Q: How much does a custom knife cost?
A: Custom knifes take much longer to produce due to their nature, some taking well over 40 hours to produce, with no less than Eight hours going into each knife. A basic knife starts at 300 dollars and depending on how exotic you want to get some handle materials can cost that alone.
How to Order a Custom Knife from MT Knives
First it helps if you can get a good ideal of what you would like. Be sure to look over other knives you have seen before and get a good feel for all the options out there. Blades, shape, handle shape and material for example. Finding a more desirable style or handle half way through the process is never good 🙂 Once you have a good ideal of what you would like,or if you need a a bit of guidance, contact me with any questions you may have and I will do an initial consultation with you. Q: Can Deposits be refunded?
A: Only if work hasn’t begun on the order. There may be other exceptions but generally speaking a refund is not a normal practice.
