Work is really picking up around here! I have been wanting to get some help for quite some time. It is hard to find the right person for the job. However, after working last week with my new intern, I think the search is over, at least for the summer. I would like to introduce my new intern for the summer, Eli Hansen. Eli is a seventeen-year old home school student from southeastern Minnesota, and he is interested in a business career. I invited him to come spend some time here and offered to teach him what I could about starting a business and making really cool knives. He came down to visit last week, and we really hit it off. We got a lot of work done, and we’re both looking forward to when he starts work at the end of May.
“Hi, folks – I’m happy to have the opportunity to get some hands-on business experience working for Patrick. Business is a career I’m excited get involved in, and this internship will be a great experience to add to my resume. Not only that, Patrick has offered to help me launch my own business selling my artwork online. More to follow regarding that soon!
“This summer I’ll probably be behind a bit of the camera-work and writing for MT Knives, and I’ll be serving as Patrick’s knife-making apprentice. Besides my art, my favorite pursuit is music. This fall I’ll be attending college back in my home state, working on a business degree.
“Thanks to MT Knives and all of its loyal supporters! I’m eager to work with you this summer.”
I look forward to seeing what we can get done this summer! It is going to be great working with this hard-working young man.
Ecc 4:9-10 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
I will let you know as soon as he gets his own site up so you can see some more of his work. Stay tuned for more updates; this is going to be some exciting times!
Congrats man! and welcome to the community Eli… make sure Patrick shows you the Wang Bottle… cheers,
already covered that 🙂
Live and learn Eli, an apprenticeship and early exposure to the real world will make a huge difference in your potential. Best luck to you.
Welcome, Eli, glad to see Patrick pass on his work ethic and business sense. I was home schooled like you and went on to work for several small businesses. There is nothing more rewarding in life than working hard and seeing the results of your efforts. God this every day of creation and so should we. You have chosen wisely in apprenticing with Patrick, he is not satisfied with good work. Excellence is the goal in all he does, and it shows. Learn that lesson from him and you will be successful in anything you put your hand to.
Proverbs 22:29 says,”Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”
Congrats to both Eli and Patrick! Eli-make sure to impress on everyone down there that us MinneSnowtans aren’t anything like the movie “Fargo”!
Excellent! This sounds like a great opportunity for you both! Take advantage of the opportunity, Eli – sounds like you are on the cusp of something big. These are the moments that you will look back on later in life and cherish. Good stuff.
