The Genesis Gen I
After months of getting a design together and lining up all the logistics of getting a production knife underway, we are just weeks away from the first run going out! This will be the first generation of the Genesis, there may be some changes to the design after some field testing and feedback. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the design once you have had some time to put it through the test. This is going to be a skeletonize knife, meaning it will not have a handle. You can use it like it is or wrap it in para-cord (there are many videos out there on para-cord wrapping and we may in the future offer it as an addition option).

Due to such a high demand for custom knives, and wanting to provide as many people as possible with the best cutting performance that money can buy, I have put together a small, light weight, minimalist design that will give you the best cutting performance for a price all can afford. I chose to use a steel that is rather new and due to its high cost is not used very often by other knife makers.
CTS-HXP Alloy carpenters’ steel is a high carbon, corrosion resistant steel. Much like D2, but with all the added benefits of being corrosion resistant like the 440C. This steel can be hardened up to 64 HRC but I have chosen to heat treat it to 61 HRC, giving it excellent edge retention yet still able to be sharpened by your average user. This is the same steel I use in many of my custom knives. If you want to experience an edge that will preform like nothing you have used before, at a fraction of the cost of a custom knife, or if you want something to hold you over while you wait for your custom knife, this is the knife for you!
I am excited to finally have found some manufacturers I know with state of the art equipment to provide only the best work – right here in the USA. This knife is 100% American made, and its quality is not to be rivaled. The Genesis is the first in the line of quality knives I have planned for the future of MT Knives. So get your piece of history in the making now.
Many similar designs sell for well over $200, however suggested retail for The Genesis is $175 and will be on sale for $150 for a short time.
It will have my production logo (see above) in the center of the handle.
Will these knives be numbered?
Regards,
-JP
Initially that was not the plan, but taking it into consideration, will let you know.
