Given the fact that the huge onslaught of visitors literally crashed my website and the fact that interested persons were told to stay tuned for updates by email, we did what we had to make sure the launch could proceed.

Given the hundreds of interested persons, website or email – there was simply no possible way to make everyone happy. I did the best I could given the situation- regardless what anyone thinks.

I did consult with Jack Spirko and others just before sending out the email (“plan b”) to get second opinions […]

What is going on?

Staying busy around here. I am building me a new knife grinder from an old treadmill. Will have some videos and pictures soon. I have plenty of knives to finish up seams like there is never enough time in the day. I have been better about keeping Facebook and You Tube updated than the blog due to some problems with the computer. So if you want to stay up to date subscribe to my you tube channel and like my facebook page. Here is one of my latest videos on youtube.

Steel Attributes

In my last video I showed how the blade can flex yet it is hard, but not brittle, there is a perfect combination of both. You need strength, hardness, flexibility, keenness, and durability. They are all different attributes to the steel and having more of one normally takes from another so you need a good balance. Here is a follow up on the last video.
