    Judah (our 15 year old) has been hard at work getting lots of these Spurtles made.  They are beautiful and made from either Black walnut or Olive woods.  As they are handmade no two are the same. They are near the same sizes. 12.5 inches to 14.5 inches But most all of them are 12.5 to 13.5 in length.  (Only one Spurtle – a Black Walnut one is over 14 inches) We are pricing them all the same just to streamline and make this easier. If you have strong preferences you can add a note to your order or email us on which you’d like. These are great for stirring sourdough and sautéing or even making a peanut butter sandwich. A nifty all around hard working kitchen tool.

    His goal is to sell enough to purchase a sheep trio this fall and another in the spring. He has 2 breeds he wants to get into raising. And would love to see his spoons find more kitchens work in. He has been fascinated at spoon carving since he was 4 and found a spoon carver at a workshop. He spent hours watching him and still has the spoon given to him that day. It has been a very enjoyable journey in watching him be a tiny boy watching to becoming a busy spoon carver himself.  We hope you love his spoons much as we do.
